Made: over the course of several weeks in late 2009. Finished just before Christmas.

Her nickname is Jelly Girl or Bubble Girl. She's part of the sci-fi "Numbers" series I chose as my focus for the senior year in MSA. I'm not going to tell you what she's about, because that would take away all the magic. She's also the first piece I've ever sold- she went to my aunt for a family price. (Everyone told me she could have gone for as high as 150, but I give family good deals. I'm not telling how much I sold her for >.>)

So yes. Other facts include that she won a silver key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards on state level, and that this was the first times I'd ever hand-stretched canvas.

The only thing that disappoints me is that photos will never be able to do her justice. She has this pretty pure cyan color in her body that just won't show up on computer monitors or digital cameras. It's a color a friend and I named "stevie diamond."
So yeah, you really gotta see her in person. Not that you can, since she's going to live at my aunt's house.
